Thomas the Tank Engine is Sad

I've found a great game for students with autism. It's found on the Thomas the Tank Engine website. This game teaches students about facial expressions and emotions. It's called the Emotions Game. This game greatly Enhances a student's learning by getting them interested in something that is hard for them to learn: how other people act and feel.

Funbrain and You

Here is a great learning tool for kids. It's called Funbrain, and it uses flash games and animated storybooks to teach kids the fundamentals. On the left side of the page, under "Teachers" you'll find the Teacher's Home. There, you'll find resources like the Funbrain flashcards and games organized by curriculum. These tools allow you to select which games for your students to play based on your current lesson plan.

Funbrain is a great tool because it encourages Effective Learning. Students are learning by having fun.
